Our 52 Week Photo Project Has Started!

First, we’d like to thank everyone who has signed up to take part in our 52 Week Photo Project! We have over 400 people coming along for the ride and from multiple countries! We hope that you are all as excited about this as we are! Everyone here in the LensProToGo office has signed up as well so we’re all in it with you! A year from now I think we’ll all have a sense of accomplishment.

Week 1 (January 1st-8th) theme is: “A Self Portrait Without You In It (Something that represents you)”

Over the last few days I’ve gotten a couple questions regarding the Photo Project. Here are a few pointers you should all know:

I have sent out the first email to every participant who has signed up by now. Please check your spam folders if you haven’t received anything yet. If you’d like more information on this project you can find the instructions to joining and posting HERE.

I will be posting the week’s theme on our blog every Monday in case you have lost the email or did not receive it. Themes can also be found on our Flickr Group.

You are allowed to post any photo you’d like for each week including photos that have been manipulated in Photoshop/Lightroom etc. We want you to show the photos you’d like to share so have fun! Be Creative!

Each week is going to end on Sunday so you have the entire weekend to shoot.

If you are located outside of the country you can post during your own time zones…I don’t want anyone having to add math to the project to make sure you post in time!

Everyone who participates will receive a prize at the end. Please do not be concerned as to how we are tallying who posts each week. We want this to be a super fun project and don’t want you worrying if it’s close to deadline time and you are on a plane over the Atlantic ;)

We will be giving out multiple larger prizes at the end of the 52 weeks that will include some pretty fantastic items. We are looking for people who 1 – submit each week  regularly and 2 – challenge themselves creatively and technically (we hope to not see the “whoops! I forgot about this weeks theme! Here is a photo of my foot!” submission!) ((If you planned on posting a photo of your foot, I’m sure it’s great!))

We, above all, want everyone to have a good time. If you have done business with LensProToGo before, you know we are a super laid back, fun, candy loving company (Mike will try anything sour). If you miss a week, don’t fret! Things in life happen that are uncontrollable and we understand that sometimes tasks slip your mind.
