POSH Retreat 2012
on Aug 24 in Workshop by MegThis November I am thrilled to announce that I will be headed to the POSH Retreat not only as a LensProToGo ‘face’ but also an aide during workshops and supporter of women in filmmaking! I’ll be bringing tons of gear for the attendees to use during the workshops and will, most of all, be there to answer any questions and make sure that attendees leave feeling confident with the gear they’ve used!

What is POSH? POSH is an educational workshop for female event filmmakers and photographers interested in cinema. Our sessions
are interactive, hands-on and one-on-on to focus on enhancing your technical and storytelling skills as well as running and marketing a successful business.
Where is it located? POSH will be taking place at the beautiful Hotel Valley Ho in the heart of Old Towne Scottsdale, Arizona from Monday, November 12- Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
Who is involved as educators? We are very excited to have some amazing educators this year. Joyce Tsang of StillMotion, Meg Simone of Meg Simone Films, Cristina Valdivieso of Society Hill Studios and Shoot.Edit.Learn, Kim Freels of Love Struck Films, Heidi Bartlett of Idieh Design, Heather Crabtree and Jennifer Thinnes of Outstanding Occasions. We also have an optional workshop on Wednesday morning presented by Adobe Creative Premium Suite 6 Production Premium on working in the new Premiere Pro CS6.
What will attendees learn? We have a wide range of education happening at POSH 2012. Our attendees will learn about various and in depth aspects of storytelling, tips on how to grow as a filmmaker, taking risks, over coming challenges, making the most out of opportunities and conquering your fear, how to break into commercial work, taking your business to the next level, expanding to a full time business with employees, embracing your brand and your identity to attract clients who will pay you your worth, streamlining your business to become more efficient, as well as hands on sessions to learn more about gear and how to use it. Learn to use gear from Cinevate and Glidecam, as well as HDSLR cameras and various lenses. Adobe Premiere Pro optional workshop on increasing productivity in the new CS6. Besides all the wonderful education offered at POSH 2012, we will have some time to network and learn from each other.
